Killing Darlings! - Experimenting and thinking outside the box in creating a physical moodboard instead of the regular flat 2D ones used in design and fashion everywhere!

 

Since this was just an experimentation project, where the subject basicially could be anything, I decided to create a mixmash between the japanese geisha tradition and a dark environment as seen in the japanese horror films such as The Ring, Ju-on, Dark Water etc.

 

The Geisha theme contains both beautiful and horrid aspects of life - throughout strong discipline cursing women to stay in shackles, as subjects of extreme perfection and beauty, in a male dominated tradition far from female liberation.

 

I thought it would be an interesting subject to project exactly this "breaking out or free" but with a horror aspects where these beautiful flowers throw their "masks" and reveals their hidden frustrations killing their enslavers.
